There are certain times in your life when your body will require an additional nutrient load in order to perform the body's functions at an optimum level. Pregnancy is one such time when the nutrient load increases reasonably significantly.
The recipes in my eBook are designed to be easy to prepare, using the minimum ingredients for maximum impact. All recipes can be made using conventional cooking methods, in a food processor, or using the Thermomix.
Nutrients In Pregnancy
During pregnancy, your body not only requires the RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) of vitamins and minerals. You actually need an increased level of some important nutrients. These nutrient requirements vary at the different stages of pregnancy. As your overall energy requirement vary very little, it can be difficult to increase nutrition without adding significant calories.
This is where healthy snacking or adding "Nourishing Bites" comes into play.
