Becoming a Thermomix Consultant can mean earning a TM7, earning a salary, collecting incentives, traveling, and having flexible hours to run your business or side hustle.

The First Step In Becoming a Thermomix® Consultant

I'm sure there are a lot of Thermomix questions you would like answered. So read on as I try to tell you everything about becoming a Thermomix® consultant in Australia. Maybe you will even join my team as a consultant on the Central Coast, The Thermomix® Dream Team!

You need to let someone know! Even if it's just a glimmer of a thought that you may want to know more about being a consultant, have a conversation with me. You will gather a lot of information below, but offers do change. Sometimes a free business kit is offered, or you can earn a Thermomix® with fewer sales. I find people can have something holding them back, but earning is a big plus for them, not a minus!

Before you start as a Thermomix® Consultant

So you have decided to join the cult that is Thermomix! Yeah! Good on you! I know you will love it. Here are the steps that lead up to your start date.

• Let me know you're interested
• I book you into a Zoom Business Info Session (Virtual)
• I put you in touch with the Team leader in your area for a chat about start dates and whether you would like to earn a TM7 or if you are bringing your own Thermomix.
• You will be sent an agreement to read and sign
• You will be given online Thermomix learning modules to complete
• Your Team Leader will do some practical training with you
• You do a Virtual Zoom Build Your Business Training
• Your business kit arrives, and your TM7 arrives if you're earning or need to buy one.
• Start your 60 days!!

What do you need to be a Thermomix® Consultant?

To be a Thermomix® Consultant, the main thing you need is a bit of enthusiasm! Everything else we can work around, so don't get discouraged if you don't have a Thermomix®, we have ways around that!

• Business Kit
• Current Thermomix

What is in the Business Kit?

The Consultant Business Kit varies, but when we chat, I can tell you more. Here are some items that have been in the business kit:

• A Thermomix® apron
• A Thermomix® Server
• A silicone bread mat
• A set of bamboo serving bowls
• The stationery you will need for Thermomix® Cooking Demos

The cost of the kit also varies. Thermomix® will often promote a half-price business kit. Or a refund of the kit price once a certain number of sales has been reached. At the time of writing this article, the business kit was free. The free kit is a pared-down version, but you get an extra item free with every sale you make.

I want to be a Thermomix® Consultant, but I don't have a TM7

EARN Thermomix®

Easy Peasy! We have the best plan ever, just EARN your Thermomix®! This means your commission is used to buy your Thermomix at a very discounted rate. It is a real win!

Thermomix® offers an earn program for a TM7®. 6 sales and you own your own TM7. At other times, a special for 4 sales. If you don't get all the sales you need for a free TM7, it doesn't matter; you get a heavily discounted Thermomix®. The amount is based on the sales you have made.

Buy Thermomix®

Some people prefer to buy their TM7 upfront before coming into the business. Then start the business and use their commission to pay off the credit card, Paypal, Zip, or Humm interest-free facility. The benefit of this option is they get the current gift with purchase, plus they don't have any perceived feeling of indebtedness or stress to sell.

It is always better to chat before you make your decision whether to EARN or BUY. Occasionally, the gift with purchase is also offered with the EARN program.

Start Your 60-day Consultant Program

The 60-day Thermomix® consultant program is an incentive program designed to help consultants get off to a fabulous start in their first 60 days. Some consultants who have joined purely to earn a Thermomix® may only be with Thermomix® for the 60 days, but others may decide to use this program as a springboard to a new Thermomix® Business.

During this period, you will be doing cooking experiences and receiving training and assistance from your Team Leader.

Thermomix® 60-day Incentives

Below are some of the past incentives earned in the 60 days. Consultant Commission is also earned during this period if you bring a Thermomix® to the business.

• Choose a free cookbook if you have 5 Cooking Demos booked into the Thermomix® HUB before your start date, and achieve one sale in the first 30 days.
• Achieve 3 closed sales in your first 30 days of business and earn a Thermomix® Cutter and Blade, Cover, Peeler, valued at $288.
• Achieve 6 closed sales in your first 60 Days of business and earn a TM7 Bowl, Blade and Lid set. Valued at $395.

Once people on the EARN program have completed the sales they need to EARN their TM7 they will also receive a commission.

Thermomix® Training & Consultant Support

Your Team Leader is your business mentor. If you're on the Central Coast that will be me! The Team Leader will provide training, lead the local team, create a community within the group, and help you with questions about running your Thermomix® business or holding Thermomix® Cooking Demonstrations.

Your Team Leader will also hold monthly meetings to update you on the new monthly incentives for consultants and customer gifts with purchases. Consultants are always told about things first! Plus, we will usually get the chance to earn them for free before they are available to the public. This is something I LOVE about being a consultant!

You will also find that team members become new friends. You will share a common goal and interest. Best of all, everyone wants success for each other, and there is always something Thermomix® related to chat about. 

I have always been part of an amazing team, and that is what I am creating for my team! Grace started Thermomix 22 years ago. The first consultants were a group of her friends, and that is still the feeling today!

How Much Does a Thermomix® Consultant Earn in Australia?

How much you can earn as a Thermomix consultant depends on how you run your Thermomix Business and your personality. If this is a side hustle you choose to do on the occasional weekend, you may earn less than someone who invests more time. However, you can't underestimate the benefit of a consultant with enthusiasm, or a large network of colleagues in a good age range or demographic!

Although the number one way a Thermomix® Consultant earns income is through their Thermomix sales, it is worth looking at other sources of income within the business.

Thermomix® Commission Rates

The amount of commission a Thermomix consultant receives for the sale of each Thermomix varies depending on how many they have sold that month. The commission is based on a sliding scale between $260 persale with bonuses at 3 intervals. It culminates in $10k for 10 sales in one month.

I found it really frustrating when I started because no one would tell me if selling 10 Thermomixes in a month was even possible. So I didn't know if I would earn $260 for one lonely sale or if $10,000! I can honestly say $10k can be done, because I have done it multiple times, but it isn't the norm to do it every month.

The best thing to say is that the business can be what you make it. Set your goals, then work with your Team Leader to form a plan to achieve them.

Mixshop Commission Rates

When you become a Thermomix® consultant, you can earn commission on TheMix Shop products.

Customers look for advice from their consultants about what products should be purchased with the Thermomix. As their consultant, you will be entitled to a commission when they purchase anything from TheMix Shop, including larger ticket items like the Ovana Pizza Oven or Kobold Vac.

The commission on TheMix Shop products varies depending on whether the item is on sale or at full price. Kobold is a referral payment system.

Thermomix® Consultant Booster Rewards

After the new consultant finishes the 60 days from the contract start date, they move on to their Booster Rewards Program. This program continues for the following 10 months with a series of gifts for the consultant to collect when a sale is made.

There are 12 gifts to collect in 10 months! That is so doable!

Thermomix® Monthly Consultant Incentives

So far, I have explained all the incentives you get in the first year of being a consultant and outlined the Consultant Commission. Guess what...?

There is more!

Monthly incentives are announced at the team or branch meeting. There are usually several incentives that can be earned based on your sales for the month. New consultants will earn these in addition to the other incentives they earn. So there are loads of double dipping available and encouraged!

Consultants outside their Booster Reward program work for a commission, monthly incentives, surprise incentives, and ThermoFest.

What are Thermomix® Consultant Super Incentives

A Super incentive is a high-value incentive offered to consultants above and beyond the normal scope of monthly incentives. Some examples of incentives I have personally earned are:

• Robo Vacuum
• Sparkling Black Thermomix
• Matt Black Thermomix
• 4 bonus white Thermomixes

I also just missed out on a trip to Germany by one position. It was a flash incentive over Christmas, with the top 12 consultants earning the travel.

Speaking of travel, we also have ThermoFest! Everyone has the opportunity to attend ThermoFest!

ThermoFest: Thermomix® Consultant Travel Incentive

Another amazing incentive Thermomix offers is a 5-star travel experience to a mystery destination each year! Consultants earn points from January to June each year to qualify for ThermoFest. This is an annual incentive and is earned for an accumulation of effort.

During Thermofest, we have three days of activities and celebrations, including a conference with motivational speakers and a formal evening. It is a fabulous opportunity to get to know more of the team and really feel the spirit of our fabulous company.

I heard I could earn international travel, so that became one of my main focuses. I have been fortunate and qualified for every Thermofest since I started with Thermomix. Here are all the Thermofests I have qualified for:

• 2021 Gold Coast
• 2022 Uluru
• 2023 Port Douglas
• 2024 Bali
• 2025 Fiji
• 2026 Singapore (qualifications have just opened... time to work)

When you join as a consultant, you immediately become eligible to earn points towards the ThermoFest qualification. I made it to ThermoFest in my first year as a consultant. You can too!

ThermoFest means your flights, five-star accommodation, meals, and activities are all covered, and there is a chance to party with your friends and leave the family behind!

Other Thermomix® Consultant Benefits

If you haven't already earned everything Thermomix has on offer for free, don't worry. Another benefit of being a Thermomix consultant is Themix shop's 15% discount. You can purchase at any time you like with your discount. The discount is less when the item is on sale and is phased out completely when the item is 30% off to the public.
