Thermomix Warranty, what and who is covered?
What is covered by the Thermomix warranty? If you're looking for information about your Thermomix warranty you will be pleased to know you are protected by Australian Consumer Law and Thermomix in Australia. The order agreement that each customer signs when purchasing a Thermomix contains detailed information regarding consumers' rights and responsibilities.
Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You're also entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. In the case of a minor issue, you are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced if the Thermomix fails to be of acceptable quality.
In addition to your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law, Thermomix in Australia provides the following extended warranty on the Thermomix (including the Varoma).
Warranty for Domestic Use
The Thermomix carries a 24-month warranty against faulty parts and workmanship when used in a domestic environment.
Warranty for Commercial Use
The Thermomix is covered by a 12-month warranty against faulty parts and workmanship when used in a commercial environment.
Both the domestic and commercial warranties commence from the initial payment date received by Thermomix in Australia.
On the initial order form, there is a note that states "Please retain this order form and tax invoice as proof of purchase for all warranty claims."
Within the warranty period, Thermomix will repair or replace, at its option, defective parts at no charge (Warranty).
What if you purchased your Thermomix Privately can you Transfer Thermomix Warranty?
The easy answer to this question is yes! The balance of a Thermomix Warranty is transferable by the initial purchaser to a subsequent owner.
There are a few key pieces of information a purchaser will require when transferring ownership. Request a copy of the current owner's tax invoice from the Mixshop proving ownership. This will include all the necessary information for you to complete the transfer.
This will protect you against inadvertently purchasing a stolen machine plus the initial Thermomix order form contains all the necessary information to allow a transfer of ownership and transfer of warranty to occur.

Can You Accidentally Void A Thermomix Warranty?
Can the warranty be declared void? The answer is yes, under some circumstances you may be refused a warranty claim so it pays to be aware of the warranty terms.
Thermomix in Australia will not be liable for a warranty claim in the circumstances below:
