How to get a sparkling clean Thermomix Bowl

Hi everyone, today I want to share the secret of getting a sparkling clean TM bowl.  Whether your bowl has a stain that's difficult to remove or has just gone dull in colour, this easy treatment will have it gleaming again in no time.

Those that have owned their Thermomix for a little while may already know this hack, but I think it's worth putting out there for new owners. What do you think of the before and after shots? The bowl was getting really dull and speckled.

Firstly let's go through some basic do's and don't for cleaning the TM bowl.

    Clean Thermomix TM Bowl Do's

    1. Do clean the lid, blade, and bowl with a specific Thermomix brush to remove any surface debris.
    2. Do put all the pieces of your Thermomix bowl in the dishwasher. Everything is completely dishwasher-safe.
    3. Do pull apart your bowl regularly for a thorough cleaning.
    4. For a quick clean in between recipes, steps do add water and a drop of detergent to the bowl and wash on speed .6-7

These Thermomix products are safe to clean the Thermomix Bowl

    • The Blade Brush

The blade brush and bowl brush are available at the Mixshop.  Please always use recommended and genuine products with your Thermomix to preserve the warranty. If you're interested in other "must-have" Thermomix accessories to look after your machine I have included a list of 8 items.

    Clean Thermomix TM Bowl Don't's

    1. Don't use a harsh scouring pad on the metal, it will scratch.
    2. Don't try to scratch debris off with a knife, again it will scratch the bowl.

So now that brings me to my cleaning recipe and a quick youtube that demonstrates the cleaning process. Please hit subscribe to this website or the Youtube channel if you want to see more Thermomix helpful hints.

    FAQ Thermomix Cleaning

Can I use detergent on the Thermomix parts?

Yes, all parts are made to be washed properly using detergent.

Are all the Thermomix parts dishwasher safe?

Yes, all the parts are dishwasher safe excluding the white Thermomix base unit.

How should I clean the white Thermomix base Unit?

This can be cleaned with a moist towelette. Wipe all over the unit removing any food debris.

There are difficult-to-reach crumbs where the Thermomix bowl sits, what should I do?

If you can get them out with a cloth without pushing them into the hole then use a cloth to clean it. If you can't use a mini vac to vacuum the crumbs.
